Talk Openly and Often With Your Doctor
Giving your doctor or nurse accurate and specific information about
your health will enable them to make the best possible treatment decisions. Here are some
suggestions for communicating with your doctor:
- Contact your doctor or nurse if you need more information about CML, and be sure to
ask questions if you do not understand what you read or hear
- Bring a friend or spouse to your office visits to help ask questions, take notes on the
answers, and provide information to your doctor or nurse
- Track how your
CML is responding to medication, and
discuss the responses with your doctor or nurse
- Keep a journal of your side effects, and bring it to every office visit
- Report any side effects promptly, and talk to
your doctor or nurse about your side effects at every office visit
